Proven Solution
Cadeon implemented a comprehensive Loss Management Analysis tool designed to standardize loss capture, improve data quality, and automate reporting. The initial objective was to replace an existing reporting process that required significant manual effort while enabling reliable roll-ups for summary reporting.
During the analysis phase, Cadeon identified inconsistencies in conversion factors and calculation rules across facilities, particularly for financial KPIs such as value lost. These issues were addressed alongside process improvements that enabled loss events to be captured in greater detail and with more accurate categorization.

Integrated Loss Management Framework
An integrated solution was implemented to report maximum production potential, actual production, and losses across reservoirs, wells, pads, and surface facilities.

Standardized Business Rules and Calculations
Conversion factors and calculation logic were reviewed and standardized to ensure consistent interpretation of production and financial KPIs across facilities and teams.

Enhanced Loss Event Capture
Processes were improved to capture loss events at more detailed levels, including well and pad-level reporting, with clearer categorization of loss reasons.

Interactive Executive and Engineering Dashboards
Spotfire was used to create dynamic, interactive dashboards that provided a complete overview of production capabilities, actuals, planned and unplanned losses, financial KPIs, and top loss contributors.

Drill-Down Analysis and Data Quality Validation
The solution enabled production teams to drill into oil loss and steam event analyses for root cause investigation, supported by a data quality page to validate the accuracy of captured data.

We initially started working with Cadeon in the summer of 2017, at CREB®. This was a great 2-day Spotfire Advanced Training course that has taken my competency and proficiency using the tool to new levels. I highly recommend this course for those who are already familiar with using the basic features of Spotfire and even those who are at an intermediate level.

Really helpful. We have used Cadeon for Spotfire installs and updates which are particularly difficult. Even after decades of supporting this software we've run into issues. Recently after moving the spotfire database, for example, there was a small but significant change that held the process up. I was able to reach out (unplanned) and get it solved that afternoon with their help. This was huge. Business critical functions back online in no time.
Cadeon has been supporting our Spotfire development and training over the last 12 months. Cadeon has been very helpful in developing visualizations within Spotfire and TDV implementation.
